Someone used and popularized the hashtag- #AwesomeIndianThings on Twitter. Maybe, it was Chetan Bhagat who started it all or maybe it was someone else. We could also see Shashi Tharoor participating in the fun. It got us thinking. What exactly is awesome about our nation? Why do we love India? What sets us apart from hundreds of other nations in the world? Care to explain?

We want to hear it from YOU! Tell us what makes India uniquely different. Tell us if you like your Uthapam better than a pizza. Tell us if the Indian winters make you think about Sarson da saag- Makki di Roti, Gurer rosogulla, or some other delicacy. It does not even have to be about food. It could be the Great Indian Weddings or the cattle class enjoying a nice stroll on a busy Indian road. Anything that comes to your mind, anything which you think represents the Indian culture, anything that you can convey through pictures, we are game for it!

The #Indiacontest is about sharing photographs, which YOU think captures the “Spirit of India”. The theme of this photography contest is- India, the country which has given Twitter its third largest user base. As more and more Indians join the micro blogging service, we feel Twitter is more Indian in character than Facebook or other social networking sites. It's time to prove our belief!
